Lagunitas is a good brewery. They make good beer. I like drinking good beer. Maximus IPA is a good beer. Here's why: it's dubbed an imperial, but it's not overly sweet, not overly bitter, not overly malty, not overly alcoholy. It's hoppy, with extremely evident tastes of orange and pineapple, and just a bit of malt with a pronounced hop finish. It's all that is good about an IPA, with a bit more.

Addendum: sunshine and warm temps means I played golf today. I had fun. I am ready for beerfest.

I had one as well. I would say it is more of 4.2/5 for me, but IPAs are not my native style.
